One of the great things about Memento is how beautifully it melts upon touch with warm skin. We leave out unnecessary waxes, fillers, and stabilizers designed only to maintain texture in favor of keeping in only ingredients that directly feed and nourish the skin. 

This also means Memento can melt or change texture when exposed to temperatures at or surpassing body temperature. The good news is that fluctuation from cool to warm doesn't affect efficacy one bit. Did you know that Memento starts its life as a potent liquid before we chill each precious jar to balm state and ship it off to you, fresh and beautiful? 

You can enjoy Memento in any form from liquid to solid! Should you wish to restore its smooth, solid surface, here's what you can do - screw the lid on nice and tight and place the jar in a bowl of very hot water. You want it to fully melt. Then, place the warm jar gently into your refrigerator and leave it overnight. Let it return to room temperature, or feel free to keep in the refrigerator during the hottest months for an extra cool and soothing treat (a must for tired eyes!)

Memento is perfect for delicate skin types, particularly those prone to redness, heat, rosacea, and acne. This concentrated formula is beautifully adaptive and has become a favorite for types ranging from dry, highly sensitive and reactive (an often perfect match and the most obvious) to oily, acneic and inflamed types who benefit from the incredibly soothing, balancing and anti-inflammatory action of the blue tansy (and other acne-friendly essentials such as frankincense and myrrh). It makes a great spot treatment for calming areas of eczema/dermatitis/rosacea and similar conditions, all the way to aggressive breakouts.

Color variance from batch to batch with this unique treat (and all our treats) is absolutely normal. The Memento's color comes entirely from the most incredible blue tansy flowers on the planet. We do not add any artificial coloring, and since this goodness is purely from the plant alone, differences between each harvest are to be expected and embraced. We never manipulate our treats just for visual appeal - the formula itself and the good it gives to your skin is my first priority. The blue shade can vary from pale robin's egg blue, to blue grey or blue green, to a truer lake blue. Keep in mind that in cool weather, the balm will be more solid, and pale in color. In warmer weather or in heated rooms, as Memento softens (or even liquefies) it will appear darker. All variations contain the same incredible anti-inflammatory action that makes this treat so very special.
